Mycenaean Tholos Tomb

Mycenaean Tholos Tomb is located here

Up through the gorge out of the west side of Poros towards Tzanata you will find this well-preserved Mycenaean Tholos Tomb which dates back to 1350 BC and was excavated between 1992-1994; the dating of this tomb suggests a link with Homer’s Ithaka and the hero Odysseus.
During the excavation jewels, royal seals and precious stones were uncovered, these are on display inside the archaeological museum in Argostoli.
The tomb is usually open 8.30am until 3.30pm every day except Monday & Tuesday, the entry fee was €3 in 2020.
